What we like about the ASUS Vivobook 14
In all honesty, you’re likely weighing up between a MacBook Air, a Samung Galaxy Book, or one of these if you’re going for something ultra-portable, but still fairly punchy when it comes to performance.

Now these aren’t absolute powerhouses, but that’s the same across the board really. What you’re getting here is a decent Snapdragon processor and good amount of DDR5 RAM that should be able to handle most heavy duty applications, plus some multi-tasking. The screen is where it’s really at though, as it’s an IPS WUXGA display, which offers good brightness, color, and contrast.
- Decent CPU: This has the Snapdragon X processor, which has 8 cores, 8 threads, and a boost clock of 2.97 GHz. This won’t be amazing for multi-tasking or single core usage, but it’s more than enough for productivity and everyday task.
- Loads of RAM: For the price, having 16GB of the latest RAM is great, and will keep your system running well.
- Stunning display: Featuring a 14″ inch IPS screen that’s FHD and 60 Hz. It’s also 16:10 aspect ratio, which means more screen space than your standard laptops.
- Super light and thin: This comes in at just 3.2 lbs, and measure in at 1.79 cm thin.
- Great camera: Packs a FHD camera, which isn’t always the norm at this price-range.
- Great connectivity: Features WIFI 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for stable connections and fast speeds.

Who’s this deal for and is it the best time to buy?
If you’re going for something to handle super heavy duty tasks, or gaming, then look elsewhere for sure. But, if you want something for everyday usage, productivity, work, and streaming, that’s also super lightweight and portable, this is a great option to go for that’s around $200- $300 less than a newer MacBook Air.
It’s also a great time to purchase as it’s only recently hit its lowest price ever on Amazon. I’d predict this will jump up again in the coming days, so if you’re interested, you may want to hurry.
