This LG B6 series 65″ OLED TV has dropped to its best price ever on Amazon, coming in at 1,199.99, which is genuinely a great price for this type of TV. While you may be familiar with the C6 series, the B6 is the way to go if you’re looking to keep spending lower and don’t want to shell out for features like a 165Hz refresh rate, brightness booster, and a more advanced processor. That being said, it’s still an excellent option to go for that packs a serious punch for the price.

So this TV has self-lit pixels that can basically turn off. This means you’re getting incredibly deep, ‘true’ blacks, with little backlight bleed and extremely good contrast. It makes everything look very cinematic and atmospheric, making it ideal for watching movies and playing games. This works very well with its broad HDR compatibility, which also includes support for Dolby Vision. Picture quality is further enhanced by its impressive A8 AI Processor Gen3, which can effectively upscale lower-resolution content to look closer to 4K, reduce noise, optimize color, and more in real time.

On the gaming front, this TV is very well suited to high-end consoles, like the PS5, and 4K-ready gaming PC, like an RTX 5080 build. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium, and a very low 0.1ms response time, which puts it closer to a 4K gaming monitor in many respects. If you’re not actively watching anything, you can switch this TV into its ambient mode, where it can display artwork or other visual content. It’s a great feature if you want to avoid the whole ‘huge black rectangle’ look in your room and have something more visually interesting.

Things to consider before buying

This is a fantastic TV for the price, but if you’re after something that’s going to be better suited to a well-lit room, I’d suggest leaning more towards mini-LED options instead. These are going to be brighter and are generally better in brighter ambient environments.
