CLX Set Gaming PC – AMD Ryzen 9 9900X
Featuring an eye-catching design, this CLX Set gaming PC is a great shout for anyone looking for something very capable at 1440p at ultra settings, but also for those who need a powerhouse for everything from rendering to 3D modelling, and more. With this deal, it’s pretty competitively priced, too.
What we like about this CLX Set gaming PC
Versatile and powerful Ryzen CPU
This build has a Ryzen 9 9900X, which is a slightly rare sight to see nowadays, but a welcome one if you’re looking for something a little more versatile than some of the lower core and thread count X3D models. The Ryzen 9900X has 12 cores and 24 threads, which makes it a good processor for multitasking and productivity, and it features a very high boost clock speed of 5.6Ghz, which can be used when you’re doing anything very CPU-intensive. For gaming, we’d opt for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but if you’re planning on using this PC for content creation and demanding productivity tasks, then this is a good wya to go.
Excellent card for 1440p and even 4K gaming
You’ve got the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB here, which is one of the best graphics cards to go for if you’re trying to keep costs well below $3000 and want something that will make short work of 1440p at ultra settings with ray tracing in most modern AAA games. As with the 50-series lineup, it’s built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, which means you’re getting access to new capabilities and features, such as DLSS 4 and MFG. On top of that, you’ve also got 16 GB of new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, which is faster and has high bandwidth, allowing for even better performance at higher resolutions. It’s also a good shout for creatives, as it’s much more capable of handling demanding software like Adobe Premiere Pro, and helps with smoother editing, 3D rendering, and much faster exporting, too.
Good amount of RAM and storage
There’s 32GB of DDR5 RAM in this build, which is going to be good for gaming, as it’ll be able to handle beefy system requirements found in larger, open-world games, and great for multitasking and running demanding creative applications, which tend to take up a lot of memory. In terms of storage, you’ve got 2TB here, which is enough for a large gaming library, alongside a large amount of 4K footage, or other files.

How will this PC perform?
Generally speaking, RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards can handle 1440p at ultra settings with ray tracing very well with most modern AAA titles, which can be pushed much higher when DLSS 4 is used. For example, one benchmark recorded Cyberpunk 2077 jumping from 60fps to 94fps at 1440p with ray tracing, and this is a particularly demanding title to run. With 4K, it also performs well; however, you’ll likely need to tweak a few settings, omit the ray tracing, or use DLSS.
Who’s this deal for?
This gaming PC is going to be great for serious gamers who want something excellent for 1440p at ultra settings primarily, and those who also want something powerful for content creation, with the extra expense of an RTX 5080. Its CPU is certianly a better choice for hybrid usage, so if you’re splitting your time between creative work and gaming, then this is a solid option, especially for the price.
