It looks like it’s once again a great time to pick up the brilliant ASUS TUF gaming A16 for less on Amazon. Right now, this RTX 4060 laptop is back at its best price once more, dropping from $1,599.99 to $1,399.00 and saving you over $200.
This laptop packs a powerful mobile GPU for 1080p and 1440p gaming, an excellent Ryzen CPU, DDR5 RAM, and an impressive 165hz 2.5K display. Overall, it’s a great pick for anyone looking for brilliant performance, but without the hefty price tag.

What we like about the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (2024) laptop
ASUS TUF is the way to go if you’re looking for something budget-friendly and aren’t too fussed about loads of RGB or extra bells and whistles. Coming in at very much the mid-range, this laptop stands above the rest with its higher than average resolution, coming in at 2.5K. That’s a big win for this price-range, especially as it’s not uncommon to find 4060 models with FHD displays for around the same price.
- Great GPU: The RTX 4060 mobile excels at 1080p, and performs well at 1440p too.
- Ryzen CPU: This laptop features the Ryzen 9 HX 370, which boasts 16 MB of L3 cache, a boost clock of 5.1 GHz, 12 cores, and 24 threads.
- High-resolution screen: Coming in at 2.5K, this display is great for both gaming and everyday usage too. It’s also 165hz, making it ideal for high fps gaming.

Is it the best time to buy?

Since March 2025 it’s been dipping to this low-point, which would suggest that it’ll do so again in the future. Considering this is a 2024 model, I wouldn’t expect it to drop even lower until the major sales events, like Prime Day. In my opinion, it’s a great time to go for it.
