When we tested this processor for our 7800X3D review, it showcased excellent performance. We ran our standard suite of synthetic tests, which includes applications like Geekbench, CPU-Z, Blender, 7-Zip, and more. This CPU managed 2.624 points in the Geekbench single-core test and 15,066 points in the multi-core test.
This is a very impressive improvement over the previous generation. The 5800X3D delivered 1,655 and 8,671 points in the same test. So, the 7800X3D is much more capable of handling multi-threaded workflows, and its gaming output isn’t a surprise as it can easily be paired with any modern high-end graphics card without any issues.
RX 9070 XT
The RX 9070 XT is an exceptional mid-range graphics card because it doesn’t cost as much as the GPUs from NVIDIA and is also able to handle 4K. This GPU, paired with the 9800X3D, delivered excellent synthetic and gaming output. In titles like F1 24, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Cyberpunk 2077, it had no issues churning out high FPS at 4K. We got 75, 101, and 61 FPS in these titles, and this was without using FSR 4.
