During our Ryzen 7 7700X review, we were impressed by its overall performance and efficiency compared to the previous 7600X. In comparison to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, it performs pretty admirably when it comes to productivity and multitasking, which is good if you’re building a PC for both work and gaming.
- Core specs: The Ryzen 7 7700X features an 8-core, 16-thread configuration with a 4.5GHz base speed and 5.4GHz boost speed, and typically a 105W TDP. It is also unlocked for overclocking.
- Performance: This CPU still goes strong, delivering excellent performance for gaming and heavy tasks in the mid-range category.
- Future-facing AM5 platform: Despite being a previous-gen CPU, it supports the latest AM5 platform, so you can upgrade to a much faster 9000 series CPU in the future without replacing your motherboard.
