What we like about this MSI Gaming RTX 5080 Inspire 3X OC graphics card
Blackwell Architecture
The 50-series cards are built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, which boasts a number of improvements over the previous generation. There are improvements in ray tracing efficiency, and you’re also getting new features such as DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, both of which can improve framerates at higher resolutions, and also keep on-screen movement looking super smooth, too.
16GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a 256-bit bus
You’ve got a large amount of high-bandwidth and faster GDDR7 VRAM here, which is more than enough to be able to handle higher resolutions and textures. Its 256-bit interface also helps to keep data flowing and reduce any instances of stuttering in more demanding scenarios, such as ray-tracing heavy titles.

Impressive cooling and SSF-ready design
This card features MSI’s Inspire 3X triple fan cooler, which is designed to efficiently whisk heat away and do so quietly. It’s also SFF-ready, which means it’s suitable for smaller, more compact PC cases.
How will this graphics card perform?
While we haven’t tested this card specifically, we have reviewed the RTX 5080 FE and put it through its paces in our testing lab. In short, the RTX 5080 is more than capable of 4K at 100fps+ with most games, and sometimes around that mark even with ray tracing enabled. With some demanding titles, like Cyberpunk 2077, we saw it hit 72fps at 4K, and 35fps with ray tracing, which is still pretty impressive. DLSS has a very notable impact on performance, as expected. In our tests, we saw games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider leap up in framerates from 91fps at 4K with ray tracing on ultra settings to 181fps with DLSS performance, for example.
Who’s this deal for?
Coming in at $1,069.99 and just a touch above MSRP for the RTX 5080 FE, we think this is one of the best graphics card options for anyone looking for something excellent for 4K gaming or creative work, and especially those who want to build a more minimal, compact PC.
