This QD-OLED monitor is a great choice for your RTX 5090 build, and it’s just had its price slashed

The RTX 5090 has taken the crown as the best graphics card on the market, and it’s no surprise considering its overall improvements on the 4090, and use of DLSS 4 and multi-frame-generation to further enhance fps – sometimes to insanely high levels even with ray tracing on.
As we’ve mentioned in our guide to the best monitors for the 5090, we think that a QD-OLED, 4K, high refresh rate display is the way to go for this card, as it provides incredible contrast, high resolution, and high frames per second.
It just so happens that I’ve spotted one that I feel is one of the best on the market right now, and it’s on sale at Amazon, just in time for the launch day.

This monitor from MSI is one of the best you can get right now for the price. Originally $899.99, you can now grab this for $799.00 on Amazon, which is great value for money considering what you’re getting.
Here’s a quick breakdown of some of the key features, and why they should compliment the RTX 5090.
- 240hz refresh – the 5090 can easily make use of this, coming close even in 4K with Ray Tracing in some games.
- True Black HDR 400 – on paper, a lower-end HDR, but considering this is QD-OLED it means deep blacks, bright whites, and vivid color.
- 32″ display – if you’re playing in 4K, this is what I’d go for. 28-inches is fine for competitive gaming and 1440p, but it’s a waste for 4K, which is where the RTX 5090 performs super well.
- HDMI 2.1 – means you can plug in a PS5 or Xbox Series X if you wish, and test their claims of 120hz/ 4K…bold claims folks!
- Glossy display – makes everything look much ‘cleaner’ and ‘high-end’ than a matte effect. Great for emphasising contrast, not great for bright rooms and reflections – so be advised.
Is this monitor right for your RTX 5090 build?
So there are some other monitors you could look into, ASUS ROG in particular are a good shout and do some pretty high-end displays with similar specs. This MSI option is sort of a lower-end high-end monitor, so it’s not up there with the absolute best, but does compliment the 5090 well.
I’d say if you’ve basically been cleaned out by purchasing an RTX 5090 or an 5090 prebuilt, this could be a good option that will serve you well for good time to come – especially since it features the latest panel technology, so it’s not going to be outdated anytime soon.
