CRUA 27-inch Gaming Monitor 540Hz
What we like about the CRUA 27-inch gaming monitor
It should be no surprise that what we really like about this monitor is its completely overkill refresh rate, which is higher than even some of the best gaming monitors on the market. Coming in at 540hz, when paired with the right PC and graphics card, you should be able to achieve incredibly high frames per second with this display. That’s going to come in very handy if you’re playing competitive first-person shooters, where ‘frames win games’.
On top of that it’s also pretty admirable in the color department, boasting 120% sRGB, which is akin to a mid-level monitor for creatives. In terms of gaming, that should make everything look vibrant and more life-like, which is also good if you’re using this for watching content too.
- Super-high refresh rate: 540hz at FHD is almost unusually high, in a good way. With the right GPU, it’ll be a great pairing.
- Low response time and adaptive sync: Features a 1ms response time and AMD FreeSync, which should go some way to making on screen movement look fluid and tear-free.
- Decent color: 120% sRGB is actually pretty good, considering it’s not the main selling point with this monitor.
- HDMI 2.1: You’ll likely be using DP for this if connected to a PC, but having an HDMI 2.1 port is good if you wanted to pair it with a high-powered console, although even PS5 and Xbox Series X won’t get near the max 540hz refresh rate.
- LED lighting: There’s a tasteful amount of lighting on the back of the monitor, which adds some visual interest. A nice touch if you ask us.

Who’s this monitor for?
This monitor is one hundred percent for those playing fast-paced, competitive games. If you’re not doing that pretty much all the time, then look elsewhere. This monitor does pull back in a few areas such as its rather low contrast ratio, panel technology, and tier of adaptive sync, but if you’re looking for something more budget friendly for intense gaming sessions, this is a good shout.
