Amazon has pivoted its Black Friday deals into Cyber Monday already, and it’s hands down one of the best times of the year to shop for tech. We just spotted a deal on the Ryzen 5 5600X that’s hit an all-time low price. We reviewed this processor earlier this year, and it earned a 4.5/5 rating for its impressive price-to-performance ratio.
Right now, this processor is 16% off, bringing the price down to just $105 from its typical $125. Sure, a $20 discount might not seem like much at first glance, but considering it’s already one of the most budget-friendly gaming CPUs out there, this deal is actually pretty solid. I’ve outlined some of the highlights of this processor along with test results from our review. Before making your purchase, I recommend taking a quick look to see exactly how much performance you can expect.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Test results and highlights of the Ryzen 5 5600X
The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X has a 6-core, 12-thread configuration that can boost at up to 4.6GHz. These are fairly decent numbers for a budget processor, and while it can easily take on 1080p gaming without breaking a sweat (thanks to its 32MB of L3 cache), you shouldn’t expect it to give you the best results in heavy multi-core workloads.

In our review, we put the Ryzen 5 5600X through a series of synthetic benchmarks to test its performance. On Cinebench R23, it scored 1,419 points in single-core tests and 11,151 in multi-core tests. Similarly, Geekbench results came in at around 2,138 for single-core and 8,456 for multi-core runs. For gaming, we tested Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p on the lowest settings to put as much load on the CPU as possible. The game averaged an impressive 282 FPS, with 1% lows floating around 133 FPS.
So, if you want a processor that can handle both competitive and casual games without spending too much, we would say the Ryzen 5 5600X can do the job well enough.
Is the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X deal good value?
Yes, the Ryzen 5 5600X was already quite a bang-for-the-buck CPU. In fact, the processor is also featured in our best budget CPU buying guide. What makes the 5600X so value-oriented is not just the cost and performance of the processor alone, but the value of the overall system.
It runs on the AM4 platform, so you don’t have to drop big money on a new DDR5 kit, you can just use DDR4 RAM and you’re good to go. Plus, with just a 65W TDP, you don’t have to get a high-end CPU cooler either. The deal comes with a bundled AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler, and it is enough to handle the 5600X without any hiccups.
We can also check its price history to see how much it has been discounted over the years.
As the above Camelcamelcamel graph shows, the Ryzen 5 5600X is at a record-low price right now, so this is quite a good deal.
