This is a very reasonable price tag for a gaming PC that sports this level of hardware, and we think it is worth serious consideration because gaming and working with it should be easy. However, keep in mind its budget nature as it isn’t a 4K gaming PC by any means.

What made us select this gaming PC
Christmas is upon us, and this is the season of joy, but more than that, it presents the perfect opportunity to grab new hardware for less. That being said, not every gaming PC needs to be over the top, and for those who want a machine for everyday casual use, this is a great option because it is only $99.99 above $1,000, which puts it at a perfect level considering its hardware.
The Ryzen 7 9700X is one of the best processors on the market right now because it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket, but also is great for handling resource-intensive applications and gaming without breaking a sweat. We’ve put this CPU through its paces for our 9700X review, and here is what you should get.
- 20,184 points in the Cinebench R23 multi-core test
- 325 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p low settings
- 240 FPS in Days Gone
These figures were churned out when this CPU was running with a 65W TDP, which you can now increase to 105W. Besides that, it has a robust 360mm AIO cooler to keep the 9700X, so you can overclock it to your heart’s content, as it doesn’t get hot a lot to begin with. The 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD could’ve been better, but you can grab a higher capacity SSD on sale with this gaming PC to give yourself a good start.

Is this gaming PC worth the price?
This gaming PC offers good hardware, and while the GPU isn’t the best on the market, it keeps the cost low while delivering a good gaming experience. It should be able to handle various workflows like video editing and designing without a hitch, but pushing it for 3D rendering and other demanding workflows will see it hit the performance ceiling sooner rather than later.
The processor is excellent and shouldn’t cause any issues, such as a CPU bottleneck during gaming or slow processing in tasks like data compression and more. So, for the price, we think it is worth checking out seriously.
