To test its performance, we paired the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and the RTX 3090 and ran a couple of games and benchmarking applications to see how it’ll handle the workload.
Gaming performance
In Cyberpunk 2077 and Counter-Strike 2, this combination delivered 230 and 774 FPS, respectively, with a maximum power draw of 86.5W and 69W. Besides that, the maximum temperature of this motherboard is 41°C during Cyberpunk 2077, which is very normal.
What this means is that this motherboard didn’t hold the CPU or the GPU from performing their best, and depending on the combination you go with, you should also experience excellent gaming performance.
Synthetic performance
To gauge the synthetic output, we ran Blender and got a score of 147.8 and 101.7 in Monster and Junkshop. Since running Blender is more taxing, the average PPT came around to 115W, which is great because the 9800X3D has a 120W TDP.
