Ah yes, the struggles of getting an RTX 5090 are well and truly here. We’re trying our best to help you folks with our stock tracker, but it looks like a few factors have made it difficult for people to get their hands on Nvidia’s powerhouse GPU.

The Nvidia RTX 5090 FE comes in at $1999.99, putting it in line with some of the other lower spec AIB models too. It made me think of what exactly can you get for $1999.99 in the prebuilt gaming PC space? And it looks like I found the answer quite quickly – and the PC in question has even been reduced for a while now according to camelcamelcamel. It doesn’t actually show this on Amazon, but you’ll see that it was $2199.99 a back in September 2024 – so it’s at its best price, which is a bonus.

The PC in question is from Skytech, which is a very highly regarded brand for all thing gaming PC. This specific prebuilt comes with a RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB, a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD. It’s also housed in a pretty amazing looking PC case too…

Here’s a closer look at this gaming PC, if you’re curious to see what you can get for the price of 5090 Founders Edition.

First up the GPU. This is RTX 4070 Ti Super, which we’ve reviewed and gave 4/5. In terms of 4K performance it got 151fps at 4K for CS2, while good old Cyberpunk 2077 ran at 44fps without DLSS and ray tracing on ultra settings. That’s actually pretty good, and not a crazy distance away from the RTX 4080 when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077 specifically. Back when we testing it, DLSS 3 boosted fps up as you’d imagine, and with DLSS 4 apparently heading to 40-series, this could help breath some life into this specific card again.

The CPU is essentially the former king of processors – the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. This is a fantastic CPU as it boasts a ‘3D’ architecture which massive expands the cache. In essence, it’s designed to improve your gaming experience, especially with things like fps. It’s a highly converted CPU, even now with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

As for the rest…yeah it’s okay. The RAM doesn’t have the highest speeds coming in at just 5600 MHz, and the SSD is quite small at just 1TB. That won’t make a huge difference though in all honesty.

In terms of design, I personally think it looks incredible, with plenty of visibility of the components and loads of RGB. A statement for sure.

Overall, for the price, I think it offers a lot, and for those looking for something that’ll nail 1440p and handle 4K well, this could be a great option.
