Who’s this monitor for?
Those who want QD-OLED picture quality without the hefty price tag
So, the big thing here is the price point, which is very affordable relative to most QD-OLED models, which makes it a very strong option for those looking for something with excellent picture quality, but without breaking the bank. These displays are brilliant for showcasing games at their best.
A very high refresh rate for the price
Coming in at 280Hz, it’s the middle of the road when it comes to 1440p monitors and their typical refresh rates. Not upwards of 360Hz, not below 165Hz, and therefore pretty ideal for most types of 1440p gaming PC builds, without being overkill for lower-to-mid level 1440p rigs.

A decent display for creatives
It’s also not a bad shout for content creators, especially video editors. QD-OLED monitors with DisplayHDR True Black 400 ratings have to have at least 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, which is great if you’re a creative professional and want to make accurate edits.
Is it good value for money?
At under $400, yes, this monitor is a very good value for money, as you don’t typically see 280Hz refresh rates at this price point with QD-OLED displays. Most alternatives are 240Hz, and can still be much pricier if they’re from major brands, like Samsung. For example, this Samsung QD-OLED is closer to $500, even when on sale.
I would say that MSI QD-OLED QHD gaming monitors are worth investigating, as they can drop quite low in price and are excellent options to go for.
This MSI monitor would be a very strong alternative if you’re weighing up your options, and it’s currently on sale on Amazon.
Verdict
If you want outstanding picture quality and a high enough refresh rate for competitive and fast-paced gaming in the affordable QD-OLED monitor price bracket, this is a good pick to go for. I’d say if you’ve got something like an RTX 5070, RX 9070 XT, or something similarly powerful for 1440p gaming at ultra settings, then this monitor will complement it well, and give you some extra budget for spending in other areas of your setup.
