For those wondering can the RTX 4060 Ti do 1440p, read this article.

The specs for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti have been released and gamers are excited to see how they translate to real-world performance. The launch of the RTX 4060 Ti is slated for May and July as two versions are being released. The two versions will have 8 GB and 16 GB of VRAM respectively.

The graphics card will have the all-new Ada Lovelace architecture that comes with DLSS 3. which Nvidia boasts has up to 2.6X when compared to the RTX 3060 Ti. These claims have PC gamers excited to see what the GPU can do at resolutions of 1440p.

Below we will go over the specs and see how they translate to 1440p performance.

Can The RTX 4060 Ti Do 1440p?

RTX 4060 Ti CUDA Cores

CUDA cores are the workhorses of the graphics card. They process all graphical data calculations and display them visually. Essentially the more CUDA cores a graphics card has the better.

Both versions will come with 4,352 CUDA cores which is a good amount. But, when compared with the specs of other GPUs in the 40 series lineup, such as the RTX 4080 with 9,728 CUDA cores it begins to pale. However, the other cards in the series are aimed at 4K gaming with Ray Tracing enabled.

RTX 4060 Ti Clock Speed

The card will have a base clock speed of 2,310 MHz and a boost clock speed of 2,540 MHz. When compared to other graphics cards that are aimed at 1440p gaming it is very comparable, and in a lot of cases even better.

For example one of the previous best GPUs for 1440p gaming was the RTX 3080. When comparing the RTX 4060 Ti with the RTX 3080, it has much faster speeds. Therefore, showing it will have great performance at 1440p.

RTX 4060 Ti VRAM

The graphics card will come in two variants. One will have 8 GB of VRAM and the other will have 16 GB. When compared to other GPUs aimed at 1440p, we believe this amount of VRAM will be enough. For the 8GB version, you may have to reduce some graphical settings to ensure high frames per second (FPS).

RTX 4060 Ti Architecture

Where the RTX 4060 Ti really shines along with the other 40 series graphics cards is the new Ada Lovelace Architecture. It has increased performance over its predecessors with decreased power consumption. They have a TDP of 160w and 165w for the more powerful version.

Furthermore, it comes with DLSS 3 which which uses AI to increase frame rates in games that have Frame Generation enabled. This increased performance comes with no increased power draw.

Can the RTX 4060 Ti do 1440p – Final Thoughts

The RTX 4060 Ti is being toted as one of the best mid-range video cards. When you upgrade your gaming PC it will be more than ready to handle the most modern games at 1440p. The 16GB version will be more future-proof as the increased memory bandwidth will help sure up your rig. Overall, we believe that the RTX 4060 Ti will be one of the best graphics cards for 1440p gaming.
