The RTX 4070 Ti is to be released at the beginning of 2023. More accurately, the date matches that leaked by the Italian retailer Drako. The 4070 Ti release date will be January 5th, 2023.

Previously, Drako listed the first custom Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU on its site, and in that information, the graphics card was an overclocked version from Asus. The card was named the Asus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti TUF Gaming and had the SKU code ’90YV0IJ0-M0NA00′.

With the 4070 Ti release date now confirmed as January 5th, it puts the release of the first 4000-series mid-range GPU ahead of any AMD mid-stack releases. As the companies exchange fire on new products, AMD is yet to confirm any new arrivals beyond the RX 7900 XT and XTX.

How will Nvidia release the RTX 4070 Ti?

Nvidia will spread the news and available details for the RTX 4070 Ti over three days:

  • Product Unveil – 3rd January 2023
  • Product Review – 4th January 2023
  • Product Launch – 5th January 2023

This way, Nvidia builds the market to increase public expectancy, increase sales and give a better run-up. Essentially, the regular approach.

Final thoughts

Of course, this GPU is not a novelty for anybody, as the RTX 4070 Ti is what was supposed to be the ‘unlaunched’ 4080 12GB. Team Green decided to pull that card, potentially afraid of the public not receiving the 4080 ‘downgrade’ well.

And it made a good call; releasing a clearly mid-range GPU under a top-tier unit would’ve increased the price, and the public would have been right to not be happy about it.

We’re anticipating this release with high hopes and are ready to check this GPU out to see who may be the mid-range winner in the graphics card market: Nvidia with its DLSS or AMD. With the 4070 Ti confirmed, it’s AMD’s time to reply.
