With a new generation of processors, we expected a selection of new motherboards. However, upon the release of the 9000 series from AMD, we found out we were going to have to wait a bit longer to get mobos to match. In that case, the X870E and X870 release came on the 30th of September and now we find where to buy this range of motherboards.

Initially, the products were a bit scarce in availability. That might be due to the fact the release was at 11 am Taiwan time, which is 4 am BST, and even more so at night in the US. So it’s not the usual release time for new hardware but it should allow for some time to pass for more motherboards to become available. In that case, here are our top choices for the retailers where the X870s are available. You can also find what we think of a couple of these motherboards in our ROG Strix X870E-E review and ASUS Prime X870-P WiFi review.
