Right now there is an absolutely cracking deal going on a brilliant 4K 27″ laptop from Acer. Originally priced at $349.99, this 4th of July deal has sent it down to just $299.99, bringing it to its lowest price ever on Amazon.
Now this monitor is a real winner if you ask us, especially as it’s HDMI 2.1 compatible, has a very high refresh rate, and dual modes that can allow for FHD at up to 360Hz too. For the price, this is a great option to go for if you’ve got a mid-range PC build, want something versatile, and don’t fancy shelling out on a much more expensive 4K QD-OLED option.

Acer Nitro 27” 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 Gaming IPS Monitor
What we like about the Acer Nitro 27″ 4K gaming monitor
So this is what we’d call more of an entry level 4K monitor designed for those who want to game in both FHD and 4K at higher frames per second. It’s actually super responsive, coming in with a lower than average response time and boasts AMD FreeSync Premium, which is a big win at this price-point. Where it pulls back a bit is with its color and HDR, as it only features 90% DCI-P3 color coverage and HDR10 support. Ideally, to make games look their best, you’ll want a DisplayHDR 400 rating at minimum, but it’s not the end of the world.
if you’re looking for something to pair with a high-end console or 4K capable PC build, this is a good affordable option to go for, especially now that it’s at its best price ever.
- Dual mode display: Play in either 4K or 1080p depending on your preference, with FHD being ideal for high fps, competitive gaming.
- High-level adaptive sync tech: Features AMD FreeSync Premium, which will greatly reduce screen-tearing.
- Near bezel-free design: For the price, it’s a pretty good-looking monitor, and should look great in any setup.
- Good for console and PC: You can pair this with a PS5 or Xbox Series X for high fps/ 4K gaming, as well as a PC thanks to its HDMI 2.1 support.
Who’s this deal for?
If you want some versatility when it comes to resolution, but prioritize higher fps second when gaming, then this is a smart pick from a budget perspective. While it wont showcase games in all their graphical glory, it will be great for more fast-paced titles and for watching content in 4K too.
if you’re looking to up your budget a bit more, we’d recommend looking at some of the mini-LED models available in the sales, which would be the level up from this. It’s also worth considering 1440p options if you want something high refresh rate, but with better picture quality.
