Acer is always expanding its lineup of monitors with new models. Today, they announced a trio of new Predator gaming monitors. Even though Computex is still a few days away, the company decided to reveal its new lineup early. What’s special about these three monitors is that they come with OLED panels and high refresh rates, so they’re perfect for competitive gamers and those seeking an immersive visual experience.

What are the three new monitors?

This new OLED range covers a few different sizes and resolutions to cater to any kind of user. There are 1440p, 4K, and ultrawide options to think about, as we explain below.

Predator X27U F3

First, we have the Predator X27U F3. This OLED gaming monitor boasts a 26.5-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) screen, but the real highlight is its blazing-fast 480Hz refresh rate. If you don’t already know, finding an OLED monitor with such a high refresh rate is extremely rare. On top of that, the monitor also has a 0.01 ms pixel response time, and it comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and one USB Type-C port.

To protect your eyes, the X27U F3 comes with Bluelightshield Pro and Flickerless technology, which ensure undistorted colors and eliminate harmful screen flickering. The monitor also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync. As far as brightness is concerned, it peaks at 1300 Nits, so you won’t have any problems using it in well-lit environments.

Predator X32 X3

If a 27-inch display is a bit small for your taste and you want something bigger, then Acer has something for you too. This comes in the form of the Predator X32 X3, and as its name already gives it away, this is a 31.5-inch OLED monitor with a high refresh rate of 240 Hz. Unlike the X27U F3, the X32 X3 features a 4K display. However, the fun doesn’t stop here. If you want to jump from an RPG to an FPS game, you can quickly switch to 480 Hz. This will bring the resolution down to FHD, but this is the cost you’ll need to pay for a higher refresh rate. For connectivity, the monitor offers two HDM 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort, and a Type-C port.

Predator X34 X5

Finally, for those who prefer even a bigger display, we have the Predator X34 X5. This monitor has a 34-inch OLED curved display with a UWQHD resolution, making it the only curved display in the trio. It has an 1800R curvature and a 240 Hz refresh rate, so it’s ideal for those who are looking for a mix of style, speed, and stunning visuals. For connectivity, this one also offers the same number of ports as the above two monitors.

As far as price is concerned, the Predator X32 X3 and Predator X34 X5 will become available in Q4 this year with a price tag of $ 1,199.99 and $1,099.99, respectively. As for the Predator X27U F3, it will be available a bit earlier, in Q3, and it will cost $1,199.99.

How well do these monitors stack up for competitive gamers?

The new Acer Predator OLED monitors are certainly going to be a great choice for competitive gamers. The star of the show, the X27U F3, boasts a blistering 480Hz refresh rate and a 0.01 ms pixel response time, minimizing ghosting and ensuring silky smooth gameplay.

For those who prefer a blend of high resolution and high refresh rate, you can go with the Predator X32 X3, which will let you switch between 4K 240 Hz and FHD 480 Hz. However, keep in mind that you’ll need to pair this monitor with a high-end PC, which can deliver extremely high frame rates for 4K gaming. On the flip side, the FHD mode is a big plus for competitive gamers who want the best of both worlds and will allow for smoother performance without the need for high-end hardware.
