What’s in this gaming PC?
First up, you’ve got Nvidia’s budget-friendly 50-series graphics card, the RTX 5060. This is one of the best GPUs to go for if you’re looking for something primarily for 1080p gaming, but want to make sure you’ve got access to the newest features from Nvidia, such as DLSS and MFG. In terms of performance, you can expect it to hit over 100fps at max settings at 1080p with most AAA games, and while it can handle some ray tracing, it’s going to be better suited to less demanding settings, largely due to its more modest 8GB of VRAM.
The CPU here is the Intel Core i5-13400F, which is a great budget-friendly option to pair with the RTX 5060. It has a decent core and thread count of 10 and 16, which makes it quite good for multitasking, and its high 4.6GHz boost clock speed with 20MB L3 cache is also good for the price when it comes to gaming, too.
In terms of RAM and storage, you’ve got 16GB of DDR5 and a 1TB SSD. This is more than enough for this type of build, and can easily be expanded if you need more in the future. Getting DDR5 RAM in a build this affordable isn’t always a given, either, so that’s a big win in our book.
Before you buy
For the price, this is everything you’d need for gaming in 1080p without breaking the bank, but if you want something a bit more punchy for non-gaming usage as well, then we’d recommend looking at the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB instead. This card’s larger VRAM allows it to handle gaming better, but it’s also more adept at tasks like machine learning and 3D rendering. We’ve spotted them for around the $1000 to $1200 mark, but check out our top deals below to see what’s out there if this is of interest.
