Video games can be expensive, but sales events help you grab your favorite titles for a small price. And now, if you’re a Steam Deck user and have an active Amazon Prime subscription, then you’ll be glad to know that there are plenty of games that you can grab for free right now. However, you’ll need to act quickly, as some of these games will soon return to their original price.
Well, you don’t strictly need to be a Steam Deck user, but we noticed that a whole lot of these are compatible with Valve’s handheld – as we’ll explain just below.

Steam Deck games that are available for free right now
At the moment, you can grab a total of 50 games for free. There’s a large mixture of Verified and Playable games, so they should run smoothly on the handheld. While some games are listed as Unknown or Unsupported, they might still run well on the Steam Deck, something we’ve seen in the case of games like Riders Republic. As such, we can’t guarantee that every game works well on the Deck, but at least 42 of them hold the ‘Verified’ or ‘Playable’ title.
Two of the games can be claimed through Steam and the Epic Games Store, while the rest require an Amazon Prime subscription. Note that games downloaded through Steam can be played directly on the Steam Deck, while the other titles will need a third-party launcher like Heroic.
