Gamescom, one of the most prominent video games trade fairs, is scheduled to start on August 21st and will run until August 25th. And just like every other year, the event will be attended by some of the biggest names in the gaming and tech industry, including AMD.

As per AMD’s official announcement, the company has confirmed its presence at Gamescom 2024. However, the banner does not elaborate on what AMD might be planning for the event.

But Asus might have just dropped some hints on AMD’s event. As we reported earlier, Asus has collaborated with AMD to unveil a new bundle. Upon purchase of eligible Asus 7000 series CPUs or GPUs, buyers get free copies of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Unknown 9: Awakening.

In the official announcement, Asus wrote, “To celebrate the launch of the campaign, one of the cards will also be given to a lucky participant in the AMD Gamescom Event on August 23,” which hints towards an event that might happen at Gamescom.

If we look at AMD’s event at the 2023 Gamescom, the company had quite a lot in store. Last year at the event, AMD announced two new graphics cards –  AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT. Plus, the company also partnered with Ubisoft for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora special edition 7900 XTX GPUs. We also got the first at the FSR 3 at the event.

At the moment, AMD has not officially announced any event for Gamescom 2024. Considering that the launch of AMD 8000 GPUs is rumored to be in 2025, it leaves us with a few options – a new X3D CPU, a new RDNA 3 mobile processor, new technology, or something completely unexpected.

If AMD shares any updates, we will be sure to notify you. Meanwhile, quite a few developers and publishers have confirmed their presence at the Gamescom 2024. This includes Krafton, Amazon Games, Bandai Namco, Netease, Capcom, EA, Xbox, and more.
