AMD’s latest RDNA 4-based RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs have seen a pretty successful launch, and following those, AMD is expected to unveil the RX 9060 XT this May at Computex 2025. However, that won’t be the only model launching next month, as the RX 9070 GRE, a cut-down version of the existing GPUs, has officially been listed on AMD’s website for the Chinese market, which, per the Red Team, is 6% faster than the last-gen RX 7900 GRE.
Now, Chinese publication IT Home has spotted that pre-sales for multiple RX 9070 GRE graphics cards have already started on the Chinese online retailer JD.com, where the GPU is listed with a starting price of 4,199 yuan, with many models priced at 4,299 yuan.
VASTARMOR RX 9070 GRE is the cheapest of them all
According to JD.com, six listings have currently shown up for the RX 9070 GRE graphics card, featuring variants from Yeston, PowerColor, and VASTARMOR. In terms of pricing, five of these listings are priced at 4,299 yuan, which includes all three Yeston RX 9070 GRE GPUs, one from PowerColor, and one from VASTARMOR. The remaining VASTARMOR RX 9070 GRE is available for 100 yuan less at 4,199 yuan. This makes the 9070 GRE around 7% cheaper than the RX 9070 non-XT, which had a launch price of 4,499 yuan.

That said, compared to the RX 9070 GPUs we aleady know that there is a downgrade in terms of specifications especially in terms of memory as unlike the 16GB VRAM with the 9070, the GRE cards will ship with 12GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit memory bus and will use slowed 18 Gbps modules. Pre-orders for the graphics cards will be fulfilled on May 8, which is also the release date, and currently, there is no reference design.
