ASUS is well known as one of the best brands around when it comes to PC hardware, producing some of the best graphics card AIBs, motherboards, monitors, gaming laptops, and much more besides. For those putting together a new PC build, the company has a vast array of different cases to build a new setup around, along with many great All-In-One (AIO) coolers to manage the temperatures of your CPU.

We’ve divided this guide into the different sub-ranges of ASUS cases and coolers (which apply to many of their other product types as well), including their affordable Prime range, the main ASUS case line, the TUF Gaming range, ROG (Republic Of Gamers) lineup, and finally the premium ProArt products.

If you’re looking to pick up one of the following products for less money, ASUS are also running a couple of different cashback campaigns that can save you some cash on these purchases. The ProArt cashback campaign runs until the 3rd of August 2025, and covers all the ProArt-branded cases and AIOs we’re looking at here. The ASUS Rate Your Gear competition is also back, and though it’s for less money, it covers the majority of the products we’ll be discussing across all the sub-brands (click the relevant link on the competition page to find a precise list of the eligible products).

ASUS Prime range

The two generations of ASUS Prime cases both offer compact, affordable designs for those looking to put together a MicroATX build without breaking the bank.

ASUS Prime AP201

Specifications
  • Size: Small Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: Micro-ATX
  • Max GPU length: 338mm
  • Dimensions: 13.78″ x 8.07″ x 18.11″

The ASUS Prime AP201 is a MicroATX case that combines style, space efficiency, and cooling performance in a 33-litre chassis. The case comes in two variants: one with a high-airflow mesh panel, and another featuring a tempered glass side for those wanting to show off their internal components.

Despite its compact footprint, the AP201 can accommodate full-sized graphics cards up to 338mm in length and standard ATX PSUs up to 180mm, offering the kind of hardware compatibility often found in larger cases. One of its standout features is the tool-free side panel design, which simplifies the building process and allows easy access for upgrades or maintenance.

ASUS Prime AP202

Specifications
  • Size: Small Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: Micro-ATX
  • Max GPU length: 420mm
  • Dimensions: 17.36″ x 9.27″ x 18.11″

The ASUS Prime AP202 will be hitting the shelves in July 2025. This is another compact yet capable MicroATX case that refines the formula introduced by the AP201, offering a slightly smaller 29-litre footprint without sacrificing core performance features. This time, all models come with a single-curved wraparound tempered glass panel that cover both the side and the front. Despite being more compact you get an increase to the length of supported graphics cards: up to 360mm long, matching many mid-tower cases despite its much smaller size. Tool-free side panels return here, making it easy to access the internals without fiddling with screws.

There are two different models: the standard AP202 and the ARGB version. The ARGB variant comes pre-fitted with an RGB fan and lighting control, which can be customized through motherboard software, allowing you to sync effects with other ARGB components

The best cooler to pair them with

The best AIO to go with either of these two cases is, unsurprisingly, the ASUS Prime LC 360 or Prime LC 240, depending on what size you want to go with. Affordable but with solid cooling performance and an ARGB option, these coolers are the ideal pairing to match the Prime cases.

ASUS case range

The ASUS A-series of cases offers larger, more conventional tower-shaped chassis, which support Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX but offer more internal space, whilst still remaining affordable.

ASUS A21 & A21 PLUS

Specifications
  • Size: Small Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: Micro-ATX
  • Max GPU length: 380mm
  • Dimensions: 8.66″ x 8.66″ x 18.31″

Another Micro‑ATX chassis (also supporting Mini-ITX), the A21 balances cooling capacity and minimalist styling. The 40% porous mesh front allows strong airflow while keeping dust at bay, and the case gives nice cooling for GPUs, and a 33 mm cable channel behind the motherboard ensures clean internal routing. Its generous component support makes it pretty versatile despite its size: up to 360mm radiators, 380mm graphics cards, and 165mm space for CPU coolers.

The A21 PLUS variant adds four pre‑installed ARGB fans and native support for hidden‑connector motherboards (like the ASUS BTF series).

ASUS A31 & A31 PLUS

Specifications
  • Size: Small Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: ATX (supports BTF)
  • Max GPU length: 380mm
  • Dimensions: 17.13″ x 9.37″ x 20.12″

The ASUS A23 range is very similar to the A21 above but with a larger size, sturdier build quality, and slightly heavier weight. Rather than a mesh front, the new case comes with a standoff-mounted tempered-glass front panel, to better let you enjoy the fan’s RGB. The PLUS version supports the same number of fans as the A21 PLUS does, and both generations of cases have the same GPU clearance and support for the same size radiators, and CPU coolers.

The best cooler to pair them with

Once again, the ASUS Prime LC 360 or Prime LC 240 are probably the best options to go with at this price point, and match the aesthetics of the cases quite nicely.

TUF Gaming case range

The TUF Gaming series is ASUS’ mid-range line of gaming-focused products, prioritizing performance and offering plenty of features that maximize airflow.

TUF Gaming GT301 & GT302

Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: ATX
  • Max GPU length: 320mm
  • Dimensions: 19.3″ x 14.4″ x 20.5″
Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: ATX
  • Max GPU length: 407mm
  • Dimensions: 19.3″ x 14.4″ x 20.5″

The TUF Gaming GT301 and GT302 are mid‑tower cases that support up to ATX motherboards, yet still remain relatively compact. They are built for airflow and accessibility for gamers who may want to tinker with their PC more regularly. ARGB versions of both cases come with the fans included.

The GT301 includes three 120mm ARGB front fans and a 140mm rear fan, supports up to 320mm GPU clearance, 160mm PSUs, 160mm CPU coolers, and accommodates up to a 360 mm radiator at the front. The GT302 expands support to E‑ATX boards, ups GPU clearance to around 407 mm, and has a mesh/tempered‑glass interchangeable side panel and detachable top plate. It can include up to four 140mm ARGB fans in total (three at the front, one at the back).

TUF Gaming GT501 & GT502

Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: E-ATX
  • Max GPU length: 420mm
  • Dimensions: 25.2″ x 13.3″ x 25.8″
Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: E-ATX
  • Max GPU length : 400mm
  • Dimensions: 15″ x 21.9″ x 20.7″

Looking to the latest generation, the GT500-series emphasize expandability, modularity, and advanced cooling. The GT501/501VC and GT502/502 Horizon/502 PLUS form a dual‑chamber design that supports E‑ATX motherboards, 420mm GPUs, 180mm coolers, and 240mm PSUs. They come with front & side tempered glass, extensive radiator/fan support, vertical GPU mounts, tool‑free panels, woven carry straps and USB‑C Gen 2 I/O.

The GT502 Horizon/PLUS adds ARGB fans and an integrated lighting hub, while the VC variant focuses on water-cooling support.

The best cooler to pair them with

The TUF Gaming LC III 360 is the latest in the LC-line of AIO coolers. Capable of generating an impressive amount of airflow and static pressure, it has the added benefit of matching the aesthetic design language of the TUF cases. It comes with an 2.8″ IPS LCD screen on which you can display hardware data or even animations.

Republic Of Gamers cases

The premium gaming-focused line from ASUS, the ROG series cost more money than most of the other options here, but the Helios and Hyperion models come with support for the most high-end builds, with the cooling performance to match.

ROG Z11

Specifications
  • Size: Mini Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: Mini-ATX
  • Max GPU length: 320mm
  • Dimensions: 7.64″ x 20.9″ x 15.2″

The ROG Z11 is a compact Mini‑ITX/DTX chassis with a unique 11° tilt design, that optimizes airflow around the GPU and CPU. Despite its diminutive size it still supports ATX PSUs and 240mm radiators. It features dual-tempered glass panels, Aura Sync lighting, and practical cable routing with dust filters.

ROG Strix Helios

Asus ROG Strix Helios
Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: E-ATX
  • Max GPU Length: 450mm
  • Dimensions: 22.24″ x 9.8″ x 23.26″

The ROG Strix Helios is a premium mid‑tower built for showcase builds with great expandability. It supports E‑ATX motherboards, 420mm front radiators, three tempered-glass panels, and versatile GPU mounting (horizontal or vertical). It includes front-panel Aura Sync lighting, extensive cable management, and robust connectivity.

ROG Hyperion GR701

Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: E-ATX
  • Max GPU length: 460mm
  • Dimensions: 24.5″ x 14″ x 24.5″

The flagship ROG Hyperion GR701 is a full-tower powerhouse with top-notch airflow. It handles E‑ATX boards, dual 420mm radiators, and long GPUs (up to 460mm), featuring four 140mm ARGB fans, a built-in fan hub, hinged panels, tool-free GPU mount, and an OLED-ready PSU shroud plus USB‑C fast-charging. The case comes with reinforced carry handles and a rugged design, although it’s fairly massive and heavy, so doesn’t make for the most easily portable of builds.

The best coolers to pair them with

There are three different coolers which would pair well with these chassis, all of them high-end but offering slightly different propositions.

The RYUJIN III Extreme features a Gen 8 V2 Asetek pump, 3×30 mm magnetic ARGB fans pushing ~89 CFM at 2,800 RPM, and a vivid 3.5″ LCD, boasting VRM cooling and top-tier temps: often ~7°C cooler than prior models. It is however the most expensive.

The RYUO IV isn’t far behind in price and comes with an innovative 6.67″ curved 2K AMOLED screen supporting 3D effects. It is another high performer, though not quite as powerful as the RYUJIN III, with its daisy‑chained ARGB fans delivering ~71 CFM at 2,650 RPM.

The Strix III AIO is a slight step down in terms of performance compared to these two but it’s still a premium cooler available at a more reasonable price. It includes an IPS LCD and Asetek Gen 6 pump, as well as strong ARGB styling.

ASUS ProArt cases

The ProArt range are targeted at high-end creatives, though can serve gamers just as well, and all come in the same refined black design with gold detailing. These are premium-grade products but perform exceptionally and look great.

ProArt PA401

Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: ATX
  • Max GPU length: 315mm
  • Dimensions: 16.22″ x 19.8″ x 8.86″

The PA401 is a mid‑tower mesh‑front case featuring dual 160mm front fans, a 120mm rear fan, and top radiator support up to 240mm. It supports ATX motherboards with clearance for up to 315mm GPUs and 160mm CPU coolers. The case includes a 20Gbps USB‑C port, dual USB‑A ports, and innovative features like a power/reset lock and PWM fan control, all packaged in a sleek, compact design with tool‑free access and efficient cable routing. The case comes in mesh or glass panel variants, along with the option for one with a wooden finish.

ProArt PA602

Specifications
  • Size: Mid-Tower
  • Motherboard Compatibility: ATX
  • Max GPU length: 450mm
  • Dimensions: 23.3″ x 22″ x 9.6″

In contrast, the PA602 is a larger mid‑tower aimed at professional creators and heavy‑duty workflows, with a high degree of modularity and expandability. With a highly porous front panel to maximize that airflow, plus two massive 200mm fans, it’s perfect for cooling-intensive builds. It accommodates radiators up to 420 mm, E‑ATX motherboards, GPUs up to 450mm, and CPU coolers up to 190mm. Storage is generous: up to four 3.5″ and eight 2.5″ drives. The PA602 adds creator-focused features like a fan hub with PWM control, tool-free GPU mounting, dust sensors, wheels, handles, and a 20 Gbps USB‑C Gen 2×2 port.

The best coolers to pair them with

The ProArt LC 360 is a sleek 360mm AIO featuring a three-phase pump, Alphacool Apex 120mm fans (up to 3,000 RPM, ~69 CFM), and an illuminated status meter, balancing strong cooling and quiet operation in a minimalist package.

The larger ProArt LC 420 ups the ante with three Noctua NF‑A14 140 mm fans (up to 107 CFM at only 31.5 dB of noise), a thicker radiator for extra coolant, and the same refined aesthetic and status meter. All this means improved thermal performance with even quieter operation.
