ASUS’s new PG32UCDP “dual-mode” monitor has launched for slightly less than we first thought. It’s still eye-wateringly expensive though.

Earlier last month, we reported that Asus had finally launched the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP gaming monitor. This monitor is one of the few “dual-mode” monitors on the market that lets users switch between two combinations of refresh rates and resolutions.

At that time, not many retailers had listed the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP on their websites, and Asus had not mentioned anything about the price. Considering that the monitor is loaded with features, it was a given that the monitor won’t come cheap.

ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP gaming monitor comes with a $1299 price tag

Now that the monitor seems to be more widely available, we have a concrete price tag. In the US, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP comes with a price of $1,299, which is lower than what we initially expected. In Canada, the monitor is priced at 1,799 CAD.

Asus announced the monitor back at Computex 2024, where it was advertised as “the world’s first dual-mode monitor.” Last month, in July, we got a better look at the technical specifications. The monitor sports a 32-inch WOLED display featuring a panel from LG.

The highlight here is the ‘dual mode’ that lets you switch between 1080p with 480Hz and 4K with 240Hz. This allows users to choose the combination that works best for the game they’re playing.

In addition to this, Asus has also equipped this monitor with a fast 0.03 millisecond response time and ASUS’ exclusive ROG OLED Anti-flicker technology. Plus, the monitor also offers an AI Assistant suite that includes AI Crosshair, AI Shadow Boost, AI Sniper, AI Visual, and MOBA Map Helper.

To extend the monitor’s lifespan, ASUS has integrated a custom heatsink and OLED Care technology. This includes tools for regular pixel cleaning, screen saver activation, and screen movement to protect the OLED panel.

Currently, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP gaming monitor is available for purchase in the US at Best Buy, Newegg, and other retailers, along with the Asus Store. In Canada, the monitor is listed on Canada Computers. So far, we haven’t seen the monitor listed on Amazon, we’ll update you when this changes.
