Weekend 2 of the Battlefield 6 open beta is now live, opening up to players just a few hours ago. However, PC gamers were quick to point out a couple of bugs already present – the lack of DLSS or DLAA support. Battlefield Studios (what the dev team is now known as after a merge) has announced that a fix is already being worked on.

Reports from players appeared soon after the beta opened back up, confirming the lack of DLSS and DLAA in both the Steam and EA App versions of the game. The good news is that the devs expect this to be resolved “later today” (August 14).

For those unaware, DLSS and DLAA are both Nvidia technologies designed for improving visuals and optimization for PC titles. DLSS is the company’s upscaling and frame generation technology, while DLAA refers to AI-based anti-aliasing and image quality improvements while still running at native resolution.

As such, the lack of these technologies means you will probably have worse performance in the game – assuming you were leveraging them for a higher framerate. So far, we’ve seen that Battlefield 6 is pretty well optimized, even in the open beta, and the system requirements are pretty lax for a AAA game in 2025. Plus, you can even run it on integrated graphics in a pinch.

For Nvidia graphics card owners, while DLSS is missing, you can instead turn to the generously open-sourced alternatives such as AMD’s FSR or Intel’s XeSS upscaling tech. This might not be quite as good as DLSS for your Nvidia GPU, but it’s something to keep you going while we wait for a fix.
