Amazon lists its as a #1 Best Seller under its OLED TV category, and stock isn’t sticking around for long. We’ve sighted the largest model in the C5 series, the 83-inch, for $1,950 off. This massive television would usually cost you $4,996.99, but it’s now available with 39% off, bringing the price down to just $3,046.99.
LG 83-Inch C5 Series OLED TV (144Hz, 4K)
We’ve actually reviewed the LG C5 OLED TV, giving it a respectable 4-star rating with very little negatives. If you already own a C-series TV from the past couple of generations, it may not be worth the upgrade, but for anyone with something older – or those who are upgrading to an OLED TV for the first time, the LG C5 is a fantastic choice this Cyber Monday.
Why we like the LG C5 OLED TV
We don’t have any experience with the massive 83-inch model, as we reviewed the smaller 55″ model, but that didn’t take away from fantastic specs and features of the C5 series.
Stunning OLED panel
LG advertises the C5 as the “World’s number 1” OLED, and celebrates 12 years of perfecting the technology since it first burst onto the scene. The latest generation features its brightness booster technology to improve the OLED’s versatility in a wider range of environments. Even still, OLED is always best viewed in a darker environment thanks to its perfect black levels and exceptional color accuracy. OLED panels feature individually self-lit pixels to offer stunning picture quality.
4K 120Hz ideal for gaming
It’s no secret that OLED displays are ideal for gaming. We’ve seen in this both OLED TVs and OLED monitors, and the LG C5 is no different. This TV offers 4K 120Hz performance for the latest consoles, as well as up to 144Hz if you hook it up to a gaming PC – or perhaps the upcoming Steam Machine. OLED panels also offer exceptional response times to ensure minimal ghosting or blurring effects on the big screen. The LG C5 OLED is fitted with the Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen8. Aside from quick and responsive menus, the processor also powers the AI and AI-accelerated technology in this TV. LG’s ‘AI Super Upscaling’ technology automatically enhances picture quality, and is particularly useful for lower-resolution media to ensure you’re viewing everything at its full 4K screen resolution. AI Sound Pro also enhances the audio, including a ‘Voice Remastering’ function to improve the clarity of dialog in TV shows and movies.
