Amazon Fire TV 50″ 4-Series 4K UHD smart TV (2024)
What we like about the Amazon Fire TV 50″
Many of the 4-series Amazon Fire TVs are discounted right now, but this 50-inch option is the one we’d go for. Now this is more of an everyday viewing type of TV, rather than something specifically designed with sports, gaming, or drastically enhancing picture quality in real-time. That being said, it ticks all the boxes you’d need ticking for everyday use.
It’s an LED display, which means its bright and good for well-lit rooms, and it has HDR10 which is going to enhance color and contrast when watching films and shows. This TV has Alexa compatibility and you can use the remote to voice-search or perform other functions related to various Amazon ecosystem smart devices in your home. Add that to cloud gaming, and you’ve got a real all-in-one, budget-friendly entertainment solution.
- LED 4K display: Everything you need for bright, crisp picture quality.
- User friendly: Easy to navigate menus via the remote or by voice, making it great for those who aren’t quite as tech-savvy.
- Cloud gaming: No need for a console as you can play games directly through this TV.
- 4 HDMI ports: More than enough for connecting consoles, audio devices, and more.
- Thin bezel design: This TV looks far more expensive than it is and will look excellent in any room.
Who’s this deal for and what are your alternatives?
For more casual viewing at a very reasonable price point, this is a great TV to go for that is pretty much unbeatable on price for the size. I’d say that if you’re looking to up the spend a little, you could grab something with a touch more gaming features and a slightly better panel. I’d recommend checking out TCL and Hisense, as many of their TVs tend to have higher refresh rates even at more entry to mid-level price points.
But if this TV has caught your eye, I’d recommend jumping on it now. While the graph above from camelcamelcamel hasn’t yet updated, its current price on Amazon matches its all time lowest back in May 2025.
