Black Friday gaming laptop deals are rolling in thick and fast, and we’re here to share the best of the best. On my hunt for the best deals, perhaps inspired by my own failing laptop, I’ve been looking for budget options that have gotten even cheaper, and I think I’ve struck gold.
I’ve found three gaming laptops that were affordable to start with, but have now dropped even lower on Amazon to under $600. That’s pretty good if you ask me, especially considering they are from big name brands like Asus, Acer, and HP. I’ve shared some more information on each one to give you a sense of how they stack up, and included some more gaming laptop deals towards the end of the article.
I should say that these gaming laptops aren’t going to be launching any satellites while playing Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra-settings anytime soon, but they are great for more casual gaming on the go. These all make for a good, low-cost entry point to see if gaming laptops are right for you, but if you fancy a prebuilt instead, our lead reviewer has found these excellent gaming PC deals for you to check out too.

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2024) Gaming Laptop
First up is this ASUS laptop from its TUF line. ASUS TUF is basically a range for those who want to dip their toe into gaming laptops, but don’t fancy shelling out an arm and leg for the privilege. The good news is that they’re still pretty good given the price point, and more than enough for most titles – especially the most popular online ones.
In terms of specs, what you’ve got here is a RTX 2050, which sure, is a few generations old, but given the system requirements of most major titles nowadays, this will be able to handle them at lower settings no problem. Considering FHD gaming, even at higher frames per second isn’t too challenging for most GPUs, I wouldn’t let the fact it’s a 20-series graphics card throw you off.
It as a Ryzen 5 7535HS CPU, which came out in 2023. It’s actually a pretty good CPU with a max boost clock of up to 4.55 GHz and a base clock of 3.3 GHz. Its L3 Cache is 16 MB, which is also not bad, but nowhere the likes of Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which has 96MB for reference. For a laptop, anywhere above 32 MB L3 cache is good, but 16 MB should still be enough to make everything run smoothly.
In terms of storage and RAM, it has 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD and a solid 8GB of DDR5 under the hood. This is as expected at this level, but it’s not bad considering its got the latest version of RAM – so you’re getting more bang for your buck. The screen is 144hz and IPS, which means you’ll be able game at higher frame rates and be able to see the picture clearly from wider angles. All big wins for this price point.
Overall, as with most budget options you want to manage your expectations, but for the price, and considering its at its lowest price ever right now, you really can’t go wrong with this.
Acer Nitro V Gaming Laptop – Was $779.99, Now $599.99 at Amazon
Acer Nitro V Gaming Laptop | Intel Core i5-13420H Processor
Acer is just brilliant when it comes to bang for your buck, and its Nitro series is THE place to go if you’re looking for savings. This Acer Nitro V gaming laptop has a lot to offer for the price, including some quite recently released components that I’m surprised to see at sub $600.
First off it’s got a RTX 4050 graphics card, which is pretty much the go-to for most newer, entry level models, but it is a lot better than the 3050 in pretty much every way. You’ll see this most with elements like better lighting effects and reflection handling at higher frames-per-second. For FHD gaming, this can get much FPS, so you can actually utilize the 144hz display to full effect. This is great for people who want to game more competitively on the move.
In terms of the CPU you’ve got an Intel Core i5-13420H, which was launched at the start of 2023. It has max turbo frequency of 4.60 GHz, and a 12 MB Intel Smart Cache. Again, that’s pretty good for the price, and the fact that it’s only almost a couple years old shouldn’t throw you off.
When it comes to storage you have the same as the ASUS option, 512GB Gen 4 SSD and 8GB of DDR5 RAM. Pretty standard, and has all the benefits you’d expect, but you may want to keep your game collection to a minimum to ensure everything is running smoothly. There’s always external SSDs should you need them, and they’re actually pretty affordable too.
Overall, I think this is probably one of the best options out there for the price, and it’s also at its lowest price ever too. Well worth considering if you ask me.
HP Victus 15 Gaming Laptop – Was $647.00, Now $580 at Amazon
HP Victus 15 Gaming Laptop
Finally we have HP’s offering, the Victus 15. HP aren’t really the go-to, at least in my eyes, for gaming laptops, but this actually ticks quite a few boxes – even beating the others in some respects.
The graphics card is an RTX 3050, which is still good even to this day and capable of FHD gaming at higher FPS. It’s got a 12th Gen Intel processor, the i5-12450H which has the same smart cache as the Acer Nitro V at 12MB, but a slightly lower boost clock of 4.40 GHz. It also has 16GB of RAM, but it is DDR4 which is a bit of kick. Considering DDR5, depending on the type, is essentially twice as good as DDR4, this sort of balances out with some of the DDR5 options at this price range.
Again, we’ve got a 144hz screen for higher FPS gaming, and it’s IPS and anti-glare too. But where this laptop really stands apart from the rest is with its super sleek, slim design that isn’t the norm with gaming laptops, let alone for under $600. This makes it good for taking on the go, but it’s still a little heavy at over five lbs. Again, for this price range, it’s still a winner and its lowest price ever on Amazon.
