Black Friday deals are rolling in, and over at Newegg, there are some gaming PCs that are well worth checking out, especially if you’re looking to stick to a budget of under $1,200. Right now, this VTG gaming PC is down $450, reduced from $1,599.99 to $1,149.00, and at its lowest price in 30 days. It packs an excellent graphics card for 1080p and 1440p gaming, the RX 9060 XT 16GB, which also boasts strong performance with creative workloads. On top of that, it has a value-friendly CPU, designed for good single-core performance without the price tag, and features a hefty 32GB of high-speed DDR5 RAM to boot. For the price, we think it’s a real winner and a great alternative to your standard, and slightly more expensive RTX 5060 Ti 16GB prebuilds, too.

What we like about this VTG white gaming PC

Amazing price-to-performance ratio GPU

With an MSRP of $349, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is a slightly cheaper alternative to the RTX 5060 TI 16GB, and offers excellent performance across 1080p and 1440p gaming, but also is adept at creative workloads thanks to its beefier amount of RAM, compared to many of the 8GB budget options on the market. You’ve got features like FSR 4 for upscaling and improving performance, and it’s built on RDNA 4 architecture, so it can handle ray tracing and AI-assisted tasks, too. A versatile, powerful, and value-friendly option to go for.

Value-friendly CPU that’s excellent for gaming

The Ryzen 5 9600X may not be our top choice for multitasking, as it features a fairly low core and thread count; however, it’s a punchy CPU for single-core performance thanks to its very high 5.4GHz boost clock and large 32MB L3 cache. Released back in August 2024, this is a good processor to have in a build if you’re looking to keep overall costs down or stick to a budget, and should give you everything you need for 1080p and 1440p gaming, alongside being able to handle more CPU-intensive creative workloads, too.

Other standout features

This PC also has 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is great to see as it’s not always as commonly found in more affordable builds. This is primarily suitable for gaming, especially if you’re playing large, open-world titles or need enough RAM to handle the heftier system requirements of modern AAA games. It features an AIO liquid cooler to keep the CPU working at its best, even under sustained or heavy loads, plus it also has ARGB fans to optimize airflow and add a touch of visual flair. On top of that, you’ve got a decent-sized 1TB SSD, which is fine for most people, especially if you’re just playing a handful of games. Design-speaking, it’s a great-looking PC, too, with a full panoramic view of its inner workings, tidy cable management, and all-white aesthetic.

Things to consider before buying

The big thing to consider here is whether the CPU is going to be right for you. Essentially, this CPU is good for gaming, but as mentioned, its core and thread count aren’t going to make it ideal for heavy multitasking. For that, you may be better off with either the Ryzen 7 9700X, which has 8 cores and 16 threads, or the Intel Core i5-14600K, which has 14 cores and 20 threads. This type of CPU, combined with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, would make for a much better hybrid-usage build, allowing you to use it for gaming and more intensive productivity.

You’ll also want to consider whether to spend a touch more and go for an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, which has generally better performance than the RX 9060 XT, alongside improvements to VRAM, ray tracing, and new features like DLSS 4 and MFG. For a modest increase in spend, it could be worth it if your budget allows.
