The RTX 40 series has proven to be a popular series for Nvidia, especially for people who passed on last-gen and now want an upgrade to their dated GPU. If you’re in the market for an RTX 4070 or above, then you’re in luck, as you can get Black Myth: Wukong for free if you buy from Maxsun. The GPU manufacturer is running this special promotion for a limited time, and there’s not long left until it’s over. Unfornately though, this offer is only available in China.
Currently one of the top sellers on Steam (based on prepurchases alone), Black Myth: Wukong looks to be the next big thing and will be available on Steam from August 20th. The action RPG has certainly garnered some attention, and it looks like Maxsun wants to capitalize on that, especially since the game supports DLSS 3.5 and ray tracing.
Chinese customers can buy from Maxsun and get the game for free
In an announcement on Weibo, Maxsun has revealed that they’ll be giving away the digital standard edition of Black Myth: Wukong with the purchase of their GeForce RTX 4070 and above graphics cards. As far as we can tell, this is only available in China, as we’ve not (yet) noticed the same promotion on Maxsun GPUs in regions such as the US. There’s no guarantee that this offer will make its way to other regions, but it’s worth keeping an eye on. Here’s a full list of eligible models:

Maxsun mentions that the number of game codes up for grabs is limited, so they are being given out on a first-come first-served basis. We can’t know for sure how many are actually available, but we do know that this promotion will only be running until June 18, 2024. Additionally, once you receive a code, you’ll need to redeem it before June 30th.
In order to redeem the game for free, you’ll be able to sign into your account on the Nvidia App and head on over to ‘Join Rewards’, where the code can be redeemed.
Our thoughts on the 40 series cards
We’ve reviewed plenty of RTX 40 series GPUs – including all the cards involved in this promotion. Although we haven’t been able to get hands-on with a Maxsun model itself, these graphics cards are some of the best available on the market today. Due to the DLSS 3.5 and ray tracing support in Black Myth: Wukong, these are perhaps the best choices for the game if you want the best level of performance mixed with high-quality visuals.
