CS2 mod ports Halo maps, weapons, and more into custom gamemode, with two variants

A modder by the name of Froddoyo, well known for their custom maps, has made a full Halo mod for CS2. This project brings Halo-style maps, weapons, and gameplay right into Valve’s tactical first-person shooter. It is called Project Misriah, and the goal is simple: give players a Halo 3–like multiplayer experience inside Counter-Strike 2.
In a post shared on the Steam Community, Froddoyo explained what the mod includes and how it works, explaining that he brought in maps and assets directly from Halo. It also features two distinct gameplay styles: Spartans and ODST, each with a different feel to give players more freedom in how they want to play.
What does the CS2 Halo mod offer?
The Spartans mode is the closest to Halo 3. It uses maps ported straight from Halo 3. Weapons from different Halo games are also included. These guns come with their original sounds, custom damage values, no movement penalties, and no aimpunch. The character models are also ported from Halo 3, complete with armor variants. You also get announcer voice lines for objectives and kill awards. Your health regenerates, and the time-to-kill is much slower, just like in Halo.
The ODST mode is much different. It also includes Halo weapons, but the gameplay keeps the normal Counter-Strike objectives and movement. This gives players a mix of Halo guns with CS2-style action.
Froddoyo also shared a roadmap for the project. He plans to add projectile weapons like rocket launchers, plasma guns, and even the Needler. More maps are also coming, along with Halo-style powerups such as Overshield and Active Camo. He is also working on a better shield system to match the original Halo experience. Froddoyo is also open to help from anyone familiar with scripting and promises proper credit for contributors.

There are some limitations, though. He explained that certain things cannot be changed while keeping the mod a simple one-click Steam Workshop install. Gun recoil patterns seem to be locked by the game, so he cannot adjust them. He also cannot access Animgraph 2 for weapon animations or change text labels for weapon names.
If you want to try the mod right now, it is already being played on a public server. You can join by using this console command:
