DLSS 4 comes to Skyrim with Multi Frame Generation support, all thanks to a new mod
Table of Contents
DLSS 4 arrived earlier this year alongside Nvidia’s latest and most powerful GPUs, the RTX 50 series. This new version of DLSS brought exciting upgrades, especially one key feature called Multi-Frame Generation. It gives a significant performance boost in games, but it’s exclusive to the RTX 50 series cards.
While newer AAA titles are quickly adding DLSS 4 support, many older or fan-favorite games still don’t have it. Skyrim, despite being one of the most modded and played games in history, is one of those missing out. However, this has now changed thanks to a fan-made mod. Not that most PCs these days can’t run Skyrim, but it can get pretty demanding while you pile up the mods.
DLSS 4 for Skyrim is here with a paid mod
A well-known modder, PureDark, has stepped in with a solution. He’s released a new mod called “Skyrim Upscaler,” and it unlocks DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation in Skyrim, giving RTX 50 series users a big performance boost in the game. It also brings more customization and support for other GPUs. This isn’t just a standard upscaling mod, as it combines three different upscaling technologies, including DLSS, FSR 3, and XeSS. On top of that, for frame generation, it offers DLSS Multi-Frame Generation, FSR Frame Generation, and XeFG.

The best part is that compatibility isn’t an issue, as the mod works with ENB, community shaders, and ReShade. However, PureDark isn’t releasing this mod on Nexus or other public modding sites. Instead, the mod is available exclusively through their Discord server. But to get access, you’ll need to become a Patreon supporter, which will cost $5 per month. This will give you access to the private Discord server, where you will find all download files along with step-by-step installation instructions.
For RTX 50 series GPU owners, DLSS 4’s Multi-Frame Generation can add massive FPS improvements, especially if you’re running heavy mod lists or 4K texture packs. Skyrim MFG support isn’t the only thing you’ll get if you support PureDark’s Patreon, as the modder has a collection of games they’ve created upscaling and frame gen-related mods for.
