Table of Contents
Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released less than a week ago as one of the biggest games of the year, but it hasn't been free from issues. Since its release, players have reported problems like crashes and high CPU usage. However, one of the most frustrating issues is stuttering, which causes constant freezes and FPS drops.
We’ve already put together a guide to dealing with stuttering in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but now, it seems like a popular modder on Nexus Mods has found an even better solution to the problem.
Anti-Stutter mod for Dragon Age: The Veilguard
The mod is called Anti-Stutter and is created by user ChemBoy1 on Nexus Mods. He is one of the most popular modders in the community and is responsible for creating similar mods for plenty of other games, including Space Marine 2. This mod is basically a simple registry edit, which will enable High CPU and Disk Priority for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Once done, it will improve the performance, especially for those with weaker CPUs and slower disks.

The best part about the mod is that it is pretty simple to install. You don’t have to worry about going through layers of settings to benefit from its effect. All you have to do is download the mod and click on the ‘Install. reg” file to enable it. Once done, the mod will automatically edit the registry to improve performance in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Plenty of players on Nexus Mods confirmed that the mod worked flawlessly and helped reduce stuttering in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. One player also mentioned that while the mod didn’t fix all of their problems, they noticed the overall performance was “quite better than before.”
ChemBoy1 also mentioned that the mod can negatively affect performance in some cases. If this happens to you, go back to the download folder and run the ‘Uninstall. reg’ file to remove the mod. In any case, it’s great to see that the user has created such a useful mod that can help improve the gameplay experience.
