Why we like the TUF Gaming F16 (2024)
Great for Full HD gaming
Nvidia’s RTX 4050 mobile GPU powers the graphics in the F16. It’s a graphics solution designed to power through Full HD 1080p graphics, which is exactly what you want in a 16-inch gaming laptop at this price. The RTX 4050 supports DLSS too, so it may handle some 2K (1440p) settings in less demanding games.
Immersive 16-inch display
This gaming laptop’s 16-inch display offers a 90% screen-to-body ratio, minimizing the laptop’s body around it for a clearer view and more immersion. As a 144Hz display, it can support up to 144Hz frames per second. That’s ideal for keeping up with fast Full HD gaming in esports titles.
Smart design, good cooling
The F16 adopts Asus’ TUF stylings, which means it looks great and offers military-grade durability. And to ensure its performance matches, Asus has incorporated Arc Flow fans, four exhaust vents, five dedicated heat pipes, and an anti-dust filter to prevent heat and dust buildup.

What to consider before you buy
The Asus TUF F16 should be more than enough for less demanding games. However, its 8GB of RAM is below what you’d want for many games in 2025, and an upgrade should be high on your list of considerations. That’s a lot easier with a $250 discout to this laptop’s list price, but it should be considered. Additionally, a 512GB SSD drive may be enough for your needs, but do make sure before you hit ‘buy’.
