The Borderland franchise is one of the most popular in the gaming industry, right next to names like The Witcher, Mass Effect, Halo, and so on. This game lets you explore the planet of Pandora, search for riches, and fight enemies while doing so. While the recent movie may have bombed, don’t let that discourage you, the games won’t disappoint.

That said, if you’ve heard of Borderlands but never got the chance to play it, this might be your time, as the entire franchise has a massive discount on it. On top of that, if you do own some of the titles but were waiting for the opportunity to purchase the newer additions, you’ll only have to pay for that, which would further drop the price, what more could you ask for?

Get 94% off the entire Borderlands franchise

You might be wondering if there is a Steam sales event you didn’t hear about, but rest assured, nothing slipped past you, and this is a standalone sale, likely in response to recent the film release. The total cost of all the major titles and their add-on content is around $664.47. However, with 94% off, you can purchase the entire franchise for $37.12, which will save you $627.35 in total.

What is Borderlands about?

Borderlands is set on the Planet Pandora, where the law doesn’t mean anything, and bandits and treasure hunters run amok, searching for riches and “Vaults”, which seemingly contain powerful weapons.

You play as a vault hunter who is searching for the aforementioned vaults, but it is easier said than done as you’re not the only one, and the vaults are guarded by dangerous and powerful creatures. The looter-shooter aspect of this game comes in handy in these scenarios as you have a variety of weapons to deal with threats of any nature, and the class you choose also impacts your abilities and playstyle.

According to howlongtobeat, it should take you 63 hours to complete the first installment, 129 hours for Borderlands 2, 78 hours for Borderlands 3, 58 hours for Borderland: The Pre-sequel, 11.5 hours for Tales from the Borderlands, and 13 hours for New Tales from the Borderlands.

So, combined, it should take you 352.5 hours or 14 days to 100% complete each title (if you have the time and will to do so). This should keep you occupied for a long while before you can move on to the next franchise on your list, safely putting the shocking movie behind you.
