Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 pre orders go live, and Amazon has a limited time deal ahead of launch

Yesterday, Samsung announced a flurry of new Galaxy hardware during its latest Galaxy Unpacked event. Included in the event were two new smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, which, as you can probably tell by the names, are generational upgrades. The devices are already available to pre-order ahead of their August 7 launch date in a couple of weeks.
Samsung’s ninth-gen Galaxy Watch is again available in 40mm and 44m sizes, while the Ultra 2 only ships with the 47mm form factor. When you pre-order, there’s up to $250 trade-in credit at the official Samsung Store for both models, while those opting for the more premium Ultra 2 enjoy $100 Samsung Store credit, too. Best Buy is also running a trade-in offer (also up to $250).

Buying directly from the Samsung store will allow you to bundle your new smartwatch with discounted extras, such as the Galaxy Buds 4 / Buds 4 Pro, and Misty or Trail bands. In contrast, Amazon is giving away $100 and $50 Gift Cards for the Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9, respectively – an excellent offer if you’re a regular shopper on Amazon.

Aside from the smartwatches, Samsung launched a trio of smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 8. The South Korean tech giant has also partnered with two eyewear brands and Google to bring more wearable tech to the market, embedding the Galaxy ecosystem and its AI capabilities into products from Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
