Thursday brings us the latest GeForce Now news, but even ahead of Nvidia’s official announcements, eagle-eyed users have spotted the addition of yet another RTX 5080-ready server. This time, it’s in the UK – one of the London servers, to be specific.
Last week saw Miami and Warsaw join in, while Portland and Ashburn (in Oregon and Virginia, respectively) were promised to be up next. There was no official mention of the UK, but the region’s first 5080 server has gone live regardless. British users have already been enjoying the new and improved performance, which unlocks access to DLSS 4 Multi Frame Gen and much more.
The first RTX 5080 server in the UK has gone live
London isn’t lit up just yet (at the time of writing) on Nvidia’s RTX 5080 upgrade map, but you can spot the change on the server status website. User u/jamieandrew on Reddit has also managed to connect to the new server. Nvidia started rolling out the RTX 5080 upgrade on September 10th, and it has gradually been making its way around the world. Elsewhere in Europe, the upgrade to 50-series hardware is already available in Paris, Frankfurt, and Warsaw.

This upgrade allows GeForce Now Ultimate members to enjoy RTX 5080-level performance, streaming from one of Nvidia’s 5080 ‘SuperPODs’. At the moment, this only applies to “select games,” the list of which is growing every week on GFN Thursdays. You can find the most up-to-date list here. It includes the likes of Nvidia-sponsored games like Borderlands 4, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Cyberpunk 2077, and more. Outside of supported games, the Ultimate tier relies on the previous RTX 4080-level hardware.
Thanks to this addition, UK subscribers have easy access to the 5080 upgrade, so they can stop relying on the Paris server. The upgrade promises up to 5K 120 FPS resolution streaming, with 360 FPS possible at 1080p and 240 FPS at 1440p.
