Now that the Buds Pro 2 has been revealed, there are some early reviews coming in. From the reviews that we went through, Pixel Buds Pro 2 have received a positive reaction. The earbuds fit better, have improved ANC, and overall better performance. According to Techradar, the earbuds are a cozy fit, and they don't weigh down ears. Plus, the buds don't protrude, and the twist-and-adjust functionality seals the earphones better into the ears so they won't fall off.

Further, it was noted that the case looks and feels similar to the Buds Pro, so there are no dramatic changes here. The case also has a speaker that can emit sounds to help users find it if it gets misplaced. Much like the Pixel 9 lineup, the Pixel Buds 2 also come in fun new colors. You can choose from Hazel, Porcelain, Wintergreen, or Peony.

Despite the positive reviews, most reviewers had one complaint – the price tag. The original Buds Pro earphones were priced at $199, but the new Buds Pro 2 have a slightly bumped-up price tag of $229. However, the earbuds do seem to have major upgrades over the older ones, so it is likely that an extra $30 is worth it.

Overall, most people seem to agree that it’s a solid upgrade. The Verge said that they “seem better in every way that matters”, with CNET adding that the Buds 2 Pro have “Improved All Around” compared to the original model.

When can you get them?

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be released on September 26th, which is a few weeks away. However, they are available for pre-order at Google's own website, as well as at retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.

So far, we only have early impressions of the upcoming earphones, which do not include performance and audio quality. Considering that Google created a whole new processor for this and they're calling the new ANC “Silent Seal 2.0”, we can expect a lot better performance.
