Gamescom gives brands a platform to showcase their upcoming products – not just games, but hardware too. Overall, it’s heaven for gamers and tech enthusiasts alike. This time, HP didn't leave anything to the imagination and delivered an Omen PC that answered the prayers of its consumer base. It’s prebuilt, yet customizable, and could be the next best gaming PC.
Other than HP, ASUS also made headlines with their “Speed Tap Mode” keyboard, which directly answered Razer's “Snap Tap Mode” Huntsman V3 Pro keyboard and its variants. So, as you can see, there is some competition, and no company ignores any chance to one-up each other.
What makes the HP Omen PC so special?
Back on topic now; HP's Omen 35L gaming PC is pre-built, which isn't uncommon, but they give you the option to customize it. This means you can choose your CPU and GPU and upgrade your storage, memory, and cooling solutions.

In addition, to cater to a wider audience, this PC comes in two variants: Intel and AMD. The Intel Omen 35L PC can accommodate up to an Intel Core i7-14700F CPU and an RTX 4090 GPU.
On the other hand, the AMD variant allows you to upgrade to an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G paired with an RX 7600 GPU. Whether you can mix and match these components isn't clear, meaning pairing the 8700G with an RTX 4090, though that pairing doesn't make a whole lot of sense. This is where the freedom of customizability comes in clutch.
Worth buying?
If you don't want to spend hours researching which components go together, looking at benchmark results, or going through the effort of building your own PC, these pre-built Omen PCs should provide a good alternative. If you feel like the performance is lacking, you can always upgrade the main components.
The Intel variant has a price tag of $1369.99, while the AMD variant will set you back by $1299.99, around $70 cheaper.
