How does the Equalized Aim Sensitivity mod work?

For those who don’t know, Stalker 2 basically has these movement parameters by default:

• BaseTurnRate = 40 (Horizontal sensitivity)
• BaseLookUpRate = 30 (Vertical sensitivity)

This mod changes both values to 40, making them equal. It's a small adjustment but can have a noticeable impact on gameplay, as your aim should start feeling more consistent. On top of that, while the mod has been created for mouse and keyboard users, it also works for controllers. However, the modder mentions that it won’t fix the game’s “dodgy deadzone settings for controllers,” but they might look into this next.

How to install the Equalized Aim Sensitivity mod

Thankfully, installing the mod is a pretty simple and straightforward task. Here are the steps you need to follow:

• Download the mod from here.
• Go to the Stalker 2 installation folder. The default path is: Steam\steamapps\common\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks
• If there's no ~mods folder in the Paks directory, create one.
• Place the downloaded mod files into the ~mods folder.
• Launch Stalker 2 and check if the mod is working.

Several Stalker 2 players claimed that the mod worked flawlessly for them, and their game feels 10x better now. However, some also reported that their game started crashing after they installed the mod. If this happens to you, simply go back to the Paks folder and delete the ~mods folder to remove the mod and any changes it might have made.
