There have been numerous reported problems with Nvidia's brand-new RTX 50 series graphics cards. From missing ROPs to driver problems and even power cables literally melting. With all this in the news on a daily basis, any sensible PC user who bought an RTX 50 series would want to keep a close eye on it.

Thankfully that just got easier thanks to a new update for the HWiNFO monitoring software. HWiNFO is a real-time system monitoring software that can provide in-depth information about all the hardware installed on a system. This allows users to track the status of CPUs, graphics cards, motherboards, and even peripherals. It can send reports indicating overheating, overload or performance issues. HwiNFO can even predict if a component is on the road to failure.

HWiNFO v8.22 is now available with support for RTX 50 series

The software is used and trusted by a huge number of PC gaming enthusiasts. It is also updated regularly to ensure security, stability, and compatibility with newly released components and devices.

The latest version of HWiNFO was released on February 26, labeled as v8.22. It contains a number of updates, but most significantly is added support for several Nvidia GPUs. Namely the GeForce RTX 5090 D, the RTX 5070 Ti, and the yet-to-be-released RTX 5070. The previous version, released January 13, had previously added the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090.

The latest version mentions a bug fix relating to the RTX 50 series, specifically: “Fixed failing of RGB lighting on MSI 50 series GPUs.”

Other new added features include:

  • Latvian language option (partial)
  • Added monitoring for Cooler Master X Silent/Mighty series PSUs.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on MSI B840 series.

A full update on the new version can be found on the HWiNFO website.

With support for the currently available RTX 50 graphics cards in HWiNFO now complete, it will be interesting to see if users sport any new problems with these troubled cards. Or perhaps Nvidia's troubles are now in the past.
