Intel is very much keeping its competitive, well-priced GPU alive with more driver updates. This new update supports newer games including the brand new Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, likely music to the ears of those suffering performance issues on ARC GPUs. The new driver also brings double-digit uplifts in other new titles, making this update a must if you want to jump into the newer games on the market. It might also fix some of the crashing issues people have been having.
We found users on Reddit complaining about bad performance in Warhammer 40K before the new driver was released, such as this user by the name of gajaczek on the r/IntelArc subreddit. We do hope the new driver fixed the issues that they were having.
Other performance uplifts that driver update 101.5989 brings
It’s not just uplifts in Warhammer that can be observed by installing this new driver, it brings sizable performance uplifts to a selection of new games on the market. Notes
- Self-installing format (.exe) is the easiest installation method and our recommendation.
If you have trouble installing the latest drivers, it is recommended that you use DDU to uninstall the old GPU drivers before attempting to install the new ones. Sometimes old drivers (especially if you have had them for a long time) can be a little funky when trying to overlay new drivers on top.
