Official, full support for the Xbox Full Screen Experience (Xbox FSE) has been announced by a senior community manager at Lenovo. It’s “finally coming to Legion Go Devices,” says Ben Green, but as you may remember, this feature has been available for some time. In fact, it was available as early as November last year when Microsoft started making Xbox FSE available for Windows handhelds, after rolling out the aggregated game library in September (FSE was also leaked in the same month).

Xbox FSE aims to provide a console-like experience on your handheld device, more akin to what you’ll find on a Steam Deck running SteamOS. Lenovo’s very own Legion Go S also has a SteamOS version, with the Legion Go 2 also getting one in June. Xbox Full Screen Experience is exclusive to devices running Windows 11. The new Lenovo-flavored support has entered “Early Access,” and community members can sign up for free right now.

You can sign up for early access for Xbox FSE on Legion Go devices over on gleam.io. All it takes is providing your email, and Lenovo will send over some instructions to get it running on your system. Back when the feature first started rolling out on Windows, it required you to be a part of the Insider program to access Microsoft’s preview builds.

Xbox Full Screen Experience works on every Lenovo Legion Go Windows 11 device. Just be sure your software is up to date!

Windows-based Legion Go users should soon be able to simply download an update including Xbox FSE through the pre-installed Legion Space app. Green notes that “It won’t be through Legion Space directly for the [Early Access] beta” phase just yet. However, users started reporting that support for Xbox FSE was appearing via Legion Space as early as December; one example snapped on a Legion Go 2 can be seen in the Reddit post from u/Danzavier below.

Not everyone was lucky enough to receive this update, but now with official support in early access, it shouldn’t be long before every Legion Go owner will receive this notification on Legion Space (apart from those running SteamOS or an alternative like Bazzite, of course). No date has officially been announced just yet.
