Lenovo is preparing to unveil a new rollable-display OLED laptop, says leak, but it’s not for gaming
Lenovo has experimented with unusual laptop designs several times, and it looks like the company may have another one in development. According to a new report from Windows Latest, Lenovo is preparing to unveil a new rollable-display laptop internally known as Project Swan.
The report includes high-resolution images of the device, giving us an early look at what Lenovo appears to be working on. The laptop is part of the ThinkBook lineup, suggesting that Lenovo is targeting business and productivity users rather than focusing on gaming.
Project Swan is a ThinkBook laptop with a rollable OLED display
From the front, Project Swan looks similar to a regular ThinkBook when its display is not expanded. It features a centered webcam at the top of the display, while two USB-C ports are visible on the left side. The right side of the laptop has not been shown, so it is unclear whether there are additional ports there.

The laptop appears to use a rail-based mechanism similar to Lenovo’s previous rollable designs. A flexible OLED display is expected to have extra screen area stored inside the sides of the laptop. When users need a larger display, motorized rails could pull the hidden portion outward and extend the screen.
The design also appears to have a shorter and more centrally positioned hinge than a conventional laptop. This likely has to do with the rollable mechanism, as a full-width hinge could interfere with the rails that extend from both sides.
It is important to keep in mind that this is not Lenovo’s first experiment with rollable displays. The company has previously shown concepts such as the Legion Pro Rollable, which expands horizontally, and the ThinkPad Rollable XD, which can increase its display size vertically. Project Swan appears to follow a similar idea, but its ThinkBook branding suggests that it could be designed around productivity and multitasking. A larger display could provide additional screen space without requiring users to carry a physically larger laptop.
For now, Project Swan should be treated as a concept rather than a confirmed upcoming product. The device may eventually be shown publicly, but there is no guarantee that this particular design will make its way into the final product or reach store shelves.
