“Like an Nvidia bot” PC gamers mock ridiculous analysis of AMD’s new RX 9070 XT
Table of Contents
The reviews for the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT have been generally positive – we gave the card a 4.5/5, for reference. Many praised its level of performance, which finally provided a decent challenge to Nvidia's dominance of the mid-range. There will always be outliers, however. One of those is UserBenchmark, whose analysis of the RX 9070 XT has attracted widespread attention.
On its surface, UserBenchmark is a website that PC users can utilise to benchmark their hardware and get a picture of the performance. However, the site has gained a reputation for being unreasonably hostile to AMD products. To the point of accusations that the site manipulates benchmark results to favor Nvidia and Intel.

UserBenchmark doesn’t have much nice to say about the RX 9070 XT
That reputation is being cemented by the UserBenchmark analysis of the AMD RX 9070 XT. The post begins by accusing anyone considering an AMD 9000 series of “Being influenced by Reddit, Twitter or a wealthy Tech YouTuber.” The post then goes on to proclaim that AMD GPUs “Often fall short in real-world gaming performance.”
The analysis includes accusations that the RX 9070 XT causes “random crashes, black screens and excessive noise.” When viewed against the current Nvidia driver woes, it is a hugely ironic statement.
After Twitter/X user Pirat_Nation posted the dubious analysis to his feed, mockery was quick to follow. “Damn that’s cringe. Like an NVIDIA bot,” said user Ron Mexico. Others placed doubts on the reliability of the UserBenchmark software, with user KLG Subonekd saying: “Dude’s benchmarking software is iffy at best. Tried it on my AMD-based built a while back, it routinely failed to load. Put it on an Intel-based build? Zero issues. Dude should let the data speak for itself, but he sinks so much AMD hate into the site it’s hard to trust.”
“I used to think it was purely financially based bias,” wrote user Armand Ethier, “but the guy who writes these synopses seems to have a personal vendetta against AMD. It bleeds through the writing.”
Many others replied to say how satisfied they were with their current AMD GPU, or to say they were considering jumping ship this generation. It seems UserBenchmark is not convincing many people.
