Newegg recently kicked off its Gametober sales event, “powered by AMD”. As the name suggests, plenty of gaming hardware is discounted until the end of the month, with a strong focus on Team Red. Many products have been marked down to their lowest price in the past 30 days, so it’s a great time to shop for new hardware if you don’t want to wait another month until Black Friday.
Perhaps the best part of the sale is when you look at the AMD Ryzen CPUs section. There are plenty of great CPUs for gaming included in the sales, including the latest Ryzen 9000 series and X3D models. The majority of these discounted chips come with a free CPU cooler, so it’s the perfect time to grab a bundle. There are some deals on Intel processors, too, but let’s focus on AMD.

Both the popular 9800X3D and 7800X3D models are bundled with a free CPU cooler right now, but there’s just a ~$40 price gap between them thanks to an additional discount on the 9000 series model. As such, the 9800X3D seems like better value for money right now if you don’t mind paying a little bit extra.
