What we like about the Core Ultra 9 285K, Gigabyte Z890, and G.Skill S5 series DDR5 RAM bundle
While AMD’s AM5 offerings are always quite tempting, you can’t deny the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K when it comes to performance. We reviewed this CPU and were impressed with its gaming performance, but very impressed with its multi-core performance. While it may not be as punchy as some of AMD’s X3D offerings, if you’re looking for something that’ll excel at both gaming and handling heavy duty workloads that are common in video-editing for example, this is a great CPU to go for.

Who’s this deal for?
This bundle deal is going to be great for anyone who wants to stick with Intel, but is upgrading from 12th, 13th or 14th Gen. We’d say you’d feel the jump more if you’ve got an Intel 12th Gen setup, as 14th Gen CPUs are still pretty punchy and ultimately cheaper overall. But for those of you looking to kick off an LGA 1851 build for less, then this deal is a real winner in our eyes.
There are plenty of bundle offers going right now for both Intel and AMD, so be sure to shop around and find the deal best suited for you, and don’t forget, Prime Day is on the horizon where we’ll likely see more motherboard CPU offers rolling in on both Amazon and Micro Center.
