Mid-tier AMD AM5 CPU gets price axed in 4th of July weekend deals

Looking for a decent CPU for gaming on a discount? You can find plenty of those on sale right now in the 4th of July sales. It also makes sense to look back at the AM5 platform to the first-gen 7000 series for the plentiful savings. One of those is the 7700X, which has been reviewed well, including by us.
The mid-tier processor is currently available with a 39% discount and makes it a top pick for savings and performance. This discount drops it to $242, from the previously high $399, giving you a discount of $157. That is a load of money that you can put towards other bits of hardware.

What we think of the 7700X
The Ryzen 7 7700X occupies a somewhat middle-of-the-road position in AMD’s lineup. On its own, it's a strong performer, efficient, reliable, and capable of handling both gaming and productivity tasks with ease. However, it doesn't particularly stand out, often feeling like a product designed to bridge the gap between the 7600X and the 7900X.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X is a CPU that sometimes struggles to find it's place in the world, however, it still offers a lot in terms of power and performance. It could be a little more affordable, but it does okay at filling the massive performance gap between the 7600X and the 7900X.
