Table of Contents
Monster Hunter Wilds has only been out a couple of weeks, and the modding community has already created over 390 mods for it. These mods help improve gameplay, tweak settings, and add new features to make the game feel better. Some mods make the game run smoother, while others add new ways to play. One of the most interesting mods so far is the Enhanced Camera Offset and FPV mod, which lets players experience Monster Hunter Wilds in first-person view.
What does the mod offer?
This mod, created by Laim3 on Nexus Mods, changes the way the camera works in Monster Hunter Wilds. It gives players more control over the camera position and allows them to switch between third-person and first-person views. Here are some of its key features:

How the third-person and first-person views work
The third-person view in this mod works differently from the default camera in Monster Hunter Wilds. Since the camera is now attached to a joint, it moves in a more dynamic and natural way for an over-the-shoulder perspective. This makes the gameplay feel smoother and more immersive, as the camera follows the movement of your character more closely.
On the other hand, the first-person mode in this mod is functional. Previously, it was a work in progress, as there were plenty of issues. For instance, while it allowed players to experience Monster Hunter Wilds in a completely new way, there were issues like helmet, head, and hair clipping, which means that parts of the character's head would appear in the camera view. This issue has now been fixed in Patch v1.04.
The creator of the mod, however, suggests that increasing the Field of View through REFramework’s Camera tab helps with the overall experience. In any case, if you’re interested in installing the mod, follow these steps:

- Open the .zip file.
- Drag the “reframework” folder into Monster Hunter Wilds' main directory.
